stain, stain be gone!

The other night Brad became forgetful and accidentally left a grocery bag with ice cream sandwiches and ice cream bars sitting on the couch, which has on it a white couch cover that I love. The bag was discovered the next morning when I walked into the living room. As I walked over to the bag, I was thinking "Maybe Brad put the ice cream in the freezer and for some crazy reason came back into the living room to leave the bag on the couch". Wishful thoughts. I picked the bag up to find melted ice cream and chocolate running all over the couch and into the cushions. It was a MESS! We had to strip off the couch cover and the regular cushion covers and then clean the cushions. We currently are without a washer and dryer, so we made a run to my parents to use theirs. Thankfully, my mom was stocked up on stain stick, which is the best thing ever. All the covers came out of the wash just like new. So FYI, if you ever have a crazy stain, I'm pretty sure stain stick can clean it for you!

Lindley's new style

I finally talked Lindley into letting me cut her hair. Added bonus, she actually agreed to let me dye and highlight it also. WHAT!!! Never thought she'd go for that. This was the first time I've ever dyed hair and I think it turned out pretty good.

New floors

Whoohoo!!! We saw our new floors for the first time today.
They are so beautiful!!!! Turned out way better than I ever
imagined. Now, onto painting. Not my favorite thing to do,
but Marquesas has convinced us it's not an impossible task :)

Christmas

Christmas has come early this year due to different work schedules with family members. We celebrated with Brad's family in Quincy on Dec. 20th. It was fun this year to have Brett's girlfriend there. Brad's grandma always does a good job of decorating and cooking. Breakfast was great! Today, Brad and I did Christmas with his parents at 1100am and then Christmas with my family at 700pm. Ashley and I both have to work tomorrow morning, and then we will all be heading to Alabama. Brad will get to test out his new Tom-Tom(GPS) on the drive. I'm kinda excited about work tomorrow because I can wear holiday scrubs instead of my normal, boring uniform.

We gave Brad's parents coats for their little dogs. They actually didn't mind wearing them and were soo cute. It's been fun being at my parents this year. In Christmas movies, the grown kids always come home to visit, but since we live in the same town that was never going to happen. Well ,it did this year :)

Back in the nest :)

Due to the house repairs, Brad and I are staying at my parents house. It's been alot of fun. Matthew's having a blast with us being here, he's thinks it's supposed to be a none stop party, lol! I've been riding to work with Dad, it's nice not to drive myself that early in the morning. Dad's also made me lunch for the last 2 days, which was much better than what I normally eat at work and healthier! Our air mattress is actually pretty comfortable, so no complaints :) Thank goodness today was Brad's last final, that stress on top of everything else was almost too much. I'm off for the weekend and intend to enjoy it! Tomorrow night we're going to a Christmas party for the hospital, then Saturday night is my dept's party. FUN, FUN, FUN!!!
